MahaSati CSP (Group 1)
Two Weekend Retreats for 2025 Year 10 Curriculum MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
1. Saturday – Sunday April 5 – 6, 2025: 10am – 5pm PT both days
2. Saturday – Sunday November 8 – 9, 2025: 10am – 5pm PT both days
You must attend the entire weekend to participate in each of the retreats, and it is preferred that you engage it as a full retreat, not working or having external daily life engagements when possible. Recordings will be available for everyone in CSP, whether they attend the weekend or not. Obviously you will receive the most benefit if you attend.
MahaSati 2020 Training
Optional: Deep Dive MahaSati and 3 Subtle Characteristics Practice Weekend: Friday January 10 – Sunday January 12, 2025 (This retreat is completely optional, and does not take the place of the required 7 night MahaSati annual retreat – thanks!)
This event, a definite ‘favorite’ for those in all MahaSati Trainings (because of the richness of the theme) is only for those in the 3 MahaSati Training groups, and has separate registration, which will open on January 2, 2025. It is an opportunity to come together as a larger MahaSati community, with groups MahaSati 2024 and MahaSati 2022. You must attend the entire weekend to participate in the retreat, and it is preferred that you engage it as a full retreat, not working or having external daily life engagements when possible.

- All day Saturday January 11, including informal practice in the evening
- Concluding Sunday Janaury 12 at 5pm Pacific Time
Specific deeper dives into the 3 Subtle Characteristics will be offered:
- Ajahn Jumnien’s specific practices on Emptiness and Suchness in sitting, walking and daily life
- Guided Meditation Deep Dives into each of the 3 Subtle Characteristics
- Bahiya Sutta walking meditation instructions
- Suchness At Home practices
- Teachings from the suttas on Atamayatta
Sunday, February 16 from 10:00am – 3:00pm PT – Introduction to Year 6 Curriculum
Year 6 curriculum is based on a core teaching of Ajahn Jumnien, which covers a wide variety of traditional and nontraditional Buddhist teachings from a MahaSati perspective. At this event, specific teachings and practices based on MahaSati energy practices using the chakras will be offered.
This event is part of Year 5 – Year 6 MahaSati Training, no separate donation is requested.
MahaSati IN PERSON Retreat using Year 5 & Year 6 Curriculum: Wednesday May 28 – Wednesday June 4, 2024
In San Diego, CA
Registration dates: TBD
Cost: Teacher Donation sliding scale between $700 – $1000 or between $925 – $1200 depending on number of participants. Plus the group shared cost of the B&B(s), food and travel.
Joining together with 8 – 14 folks from MahaSati 2020 and (perhaps) CSP (MahaSati Group 1) for an in person retreat! Heather will not stay onsite, but will be with the group for 5.5 hours every afternoon to offer guided meditations, Q&A, Talk, and 1:1 check ins.
** To chose this option you need to have flexibility financially and logistically, as the retreat venue is self-organized by the participants.

MahaSati ONLINE Retreat using Year 4 Curriculum: Saturday June 21 – Saturday June 28, 2025
MahaSati 2020 and MahaSati 2022 will attend this retreat together, using the very important Year 4 curriculum for practice.

Teachings and practices on MahaSati Taking the One Seat to raise energy and MahaSati with Mind in Movement will be offered.
This event is part of Year 3 – Year 4 MahaSati Training, no separate donation is requested.
MahaSati ONLINE Retreat using Year 4 Curriculum: Saturday June 21 – 28, 2025
This event will be community members from MahaSati 2022 joined by friends from MahaSati 2020 Training group.

MahaSati 2024 Training
Saturday January 11, 2025 from 9:30am – 1:00pm Pacific Time – MahaSati 3 Subtle Characteristics (Emptiness, Suchness, Atamayatta)
This is the Introduction to Year 2 Curriculum event, starting with this juicy list of the 3 Subtle Characteristis, which will be a main theme for exploration the first half of Year 2. The Three Subtle Characteristics are related with the 3 Characteristics, and are also important ‘Reflections’ of MahaSati.
Some of the event will be recorded for your future use during the time of the MahaSati Training.
** You may attend just this 3 hour online event (which is a part of the MahaSati Training you already made a donation for), or choose to attend the entire weekend retreat (see below). This 3.5 hour event is only for those in MahaSati 2024 Training, although it is a part of an optional weekend event which other MahaSati Training groups will join.

You must attend the entire weekend to participate in the retreat, and it is preferred that you engage it as a full retreat, not working or having external daily life engagements when possible. Those in our Training who not participating in the retreat will join us for the 3.5 hour session on Saturday.

Saturday May 10, 2025 from 10:00am – 1:30pm Pacific Time – MahaSati Cutting Through at Liking & Disliking; Outer Bank & Inner Bank
This event introduces us to two important practices which Ajahn Jumnien emphasized in MahaSati Cutting Through practice, which we will continue to explore and deepen with, in both formal meditation and especially in daily life practice through the rest of this year and far beyond. Heather’s initial training period with these practices was ‘1 year in all activities’. They are simple, fun and challenging practices which lend themselves to opportunities for great creativity.

MahaSati ONLINE Retreat using Year 2 Curriculum – Only for MahaSati 2024 Training Group
Saturday July 12 – Saturday July 19, 2025
Registration happens May 5 – May 20 through Heather
Cost: Donation between $550 – $1000 for the entire weeklong retreat, including for the teacher/manager/registrar roles (all held by Heather)
** This is the only MahaSati Retreat scheduled for the MahaSati 2024 Training group this year, please make it a scheduling priority!
Saturday November 15, 2025 from 10:00am – 3:30pm PT – MahaSati ‘No Footing Find’, Latent Tendencies, Fire Sermon and Acceptance/Inclusion
This is the concluding event for the Year 1 – Year 2 MahaSati Transmission, bringing together all our MahaSati themes with a variety of new topics.
Some of the event will be recorded for your future use during the time of the MahaSati Training.
